Email notifications

[admin] [notifications] [einstellungen]

Define which events make licensio send you (or the provider owner) an email. This keeps your inbox tidy: you only get the notices that really matter to you.

Who it is for

Provider admins.

Where do I find the settings?

Settings → Advanced settings → Email notifications

(Direct path: /settings/advanced/notifications)

Available events

Three switches, each independently on/off:

  1. New customer registration: a new licensee has registered via the self-service join (/join). The email contains company/name and the chosen package, so you can review and activate the customer promptly.
  2. New product suggestions: a customer has submitted a suggestion via the "Request a product?" function in the portal. See Product suggestions (Admin).
  3. New support tickets: a customer has created a new ticket. See Support tickets.

How to turn on or off?

  1. Open the page (see above).
  2. Flip the respective switch: green = active, gray = off.
  3. Click Save. A short confirmation appears ("Saved").

When do changes take effect?

Immediately. The next registration / the next suggestion / the next ticket after saving follows the new setting. Already sent emails are not affected.

Default behavior

All three notifications are active by default. Even providers who have never opened this page still get all notices: nothing changes until you deliberately turn off a switch.

Receiving

The emails go to the address of the provider owner (the account the provider was originally created with). The sender is always noreply@licensio.io.

Tip for high traffic

If your portal gets many registrations or suggestions per day, the flood of emails can be annoying. Recommendation: turn off "New customer registration" (you see new customers directly on the dashboard and under Customers anyway) and only keep "New support tickets" active, as those are usually time-critical. You can go through product suggestions in one batch once a week in the support tab.
