PrintFarm

[admin] [drucker] [in preparation]

Production management for your 3D printers — active printers, print jobs and statistics at a glance. In preparation: the page is a placeholder stub with no function yet, and it is not live in production.

Status

PrintFarm is not available in production. The page is guarded twice (apps/admin/app/printfarm/page.tsx):

  1. isFeatureAvailable(plan, 'has_printfarm') — the has_printfarm flag is set in the code (migration-level plan data), but
  2. the PRINTER_3D_TAB environment flag is off in production (packages/feature-flags, matrix: development on, preview/staging/production off).

Because the env flag wins, /printfarm returns a 404 (notFound()) in production for everyone, even where has_printfarm would otherwise apply. It should therefore not be advertised as an available feature yet.

Strategic note: in Phase 2 PrintFarm is planned as a standalone product under printfarm.licensio.io — separately bookable without a license portal, with a login shared via admin.licensio.io. Vision only, not part of the current release.

The PrintFarm sidebar entry (between Products and FAQs, printer SVG icon) is hidden in production along with the page — missing features are hidden, not locked (no more 🔒 badge, since 2026-05-29).

PrintFarm page (/printfarm)

Header: PrintFarm. All functions live on this single page: overview, jobs, statistics and printer configuration/agent setup are inline (single-URL rule).

Three cards as an overview:

  • 🖨️ Active printers: list of connected printers, status (online/offline/printing). Currently a placeholder, fully functional from the agent phase.
  • 📋 Print jobs: running and in the queue. Currently a placeholder.
  • 📊 Statistics: prints today / this week, filament consumption. Currently a placeholder.

Without the feature (or, in production, without the PRINTER_3D_TAB env flag) /printfarm returns a 404 (notFound() guard): no more lock banner.

Backwards-compat redirect

/settings/advanced/printfarm historically existed as a separate configuration page and is today a redirect stub → /printfarm. Old links stay functional, new references use /printfarm directly.
