Marketing site licensio.io

[marketing] [public]

The public website at https://licensio.io is the first touchpoint for new providers. A dedicated Next.js app (apps/marketing), separate Vercel deployment, i18n EN/DE with a language dropdown in the header (default English, as marketing is internationally oriented).

For whom

Not for logged-in providers or customers. This site targets potential providers who want to discover licensio and register. Those who already have an account go directly to admin.licensio.io (login) or <slug>.licensio.io (portal).

Access model

licensio offers one free access: no base fee and no setup cost to start. licensio earns a flat 10% of your license revenue (Beta rate), collected automatically via Stripe Connect.

Public routes

RouteContent
/Landing page: hero + features + USP section (6 tiles, SVG icons) + price-calculator teaser + contact + footer
/productsShowcase: hero + how-it-works (3 steps) + feature timeline (6 blocks with browser mockups + scroll fade-in) + stats + final CTA
/preisrechner3D printing price calculator as an iframe (static tool, English)
/impressumLegally mandatory (German)
/agb / /datenschutzPDFs as iframes

Language selection

Language dropdown at the top right of the header (EN ▾ / DE ▾). Resolution: URL param ?lang=en|de > LocalStorage licensio_locale > default en. The language state is passed on to the provider registration on admin.licensio.io when clicking a CTA (?lang=de), and the register page picks up the language automatically.

What the marketing site does NOT do

  • No login / logout: the site has no logged-in view.
  • No platform functions: sign-up + login link to admin.licensio.io (in a new tab).
  • No i18n in wiki/portal: the language selection only affects the marketing site and the admin.licensio.io/register page.

Technical (dev team only)

Detailed architecture notes on the marketing app (component structure, browser mockups on /products, intersection observer animations, header logic, USP icons) can be found in the repo under CLAUDE.md (section "Marketing") and in journal.txt. Vercel project: separate project with root apps/marketing, build via pnpm turbo run build --filter=marketing.
