Request a product?

[portal]

Do you need a product that isn't (yet) in the catalog? With the "Request a product?" function you send your licensor a suggestion directly, with images, a description and optionally a link.

For whom

Customers (licensees).

Where do I find the button?

In the portal under Products, at the top right next to the search/export button: "Request a product?" (clock icon). A click opens a form.

How do I submit a suggestion?

  1. Open Products → click "Request a product?".
  2. Fill in the form:
    • Title (required): short name of the desired product, e.g. "Adapter for AC Infinity T6".
    • Description (required): what you need, dimensions, material, purpose. The more specific, the better the manufacturer can assess whether it can be implemented.
    • Images (optional): photos or sketches, max. 5 MB per file, formats JPG / PNG / WebP. You can upload several; each appears as a preview and can be removed again before sending.
    • Reference link (optional): e.g. a product from another provider, a Thingiverse model or a manufacturer page as a template.
    • "Create as support ticket" (checkbox): see below.
  3. Click Submit. A short confirmation appears ("Thanks for your suggestion!").

What does "Create as support ticket" do?

  • Enabled: in addition to the suggestion, a support ticket is created (subject "Product suggestion: …", your title + description + link as the first message). Advantage: you can track the status like with any other ticket, and the manufacturer can reply to you directly in it. You find it under FAQ & Tickets → Tickets.
  • Disabled: the suggestion only lands in the manufacturer's internal suggestions list. You don't get your own case number.

Tip: if you care about feedback, leave the checkbox enabled.

What happens after submitting?

  • Your suggestion appears immediately for the manufacturer in the admin area (Support → Product suggestions).
  • If the manufacturer has enabled email notifications for suggestions, they additionally get an email.
  • If you chose "Create as support ticket", the ticket shows up for you under Tickets.

Do I get an answer?

That's up to the manufacturer. If a ticket was created, they reply to you in it (you get the reply by email and see it in the ticket thread). Without a ticket there is no guaranteed return channel, but the suggestion is still seen.
